Depends. Private clubs in general are suffering b/c of so many public courses around, but I knew of one in Indy that was $208/month waving the $14000 initiation fee for a 3 yr commitment for those under 30yo. I got a free round to try the course and I'll tell you I was really tempted. A minimum seems to average around $6-12000.

There is usually an initiation fee and monthly dues for a private club. Many often waive initiation fees to build memberships quicker.

In most cases, a ton! May vary from 1k to 100k. Monthly fees also vary greatly. The one across the street from me in Fairfax Va. is 80k initiation fee plus monthly fees.
The key is to find someone who already is a member and go out with them as a quest!
All and all, it's a very expensive way to socialize, and from what I've seen, you proabably don't want to socialize with alot of them anyway.

$1,000 - $100,000 depends on which club. Be prepared to pay for monthly food requirements and special assessments.
