a single mom. She had a nanny every night; I did 3 nights each week. Starting Sept. she cut the nights down to 4 a week and I did Friday nights. I've been doing this job for 8 months. End of Dec she says when the new year comes she is going to look for a day-nanny & when that happens she will condense the overnights. She said she didn't know which nights she would cut or when, just eventually. The last 2 weeks I went and she said the same thing if I asked her what would happen with the overnights; eventually, some nights, she didn't know which. Friday night I show up to my job and another sitter answers the door. The lady is like "what are you doing here!" & i'm confused b/c this is the night i work. She acts like it's a misunderstanding/the agency double-booked. I come to find out she gave my night to one of the other girls and had never planned on actually telling me; she just led me on and told the agency to tell me, but they never did. Could you do that to your nanny of 8 months?!

First of all, I have to agree with the person above that the problem is with your agency rather than the person who hired you. The agency should have informed you immediately about the change to avoid embaressment and conflict like you experianced. And yes, I think it is completely unfair what she did to you, but it happens in every field you work in. Sometimes there are just some bad bosses who want to please everyone.

In the end she should have informed you earlier on that she would be cutting you and shouldn't have led you on by telling you again and again that she would tell you later, however, in the end, it is your agency who caused you the embaressement and I would be equally annoyed with them.

You call her up and supply up on the spot. for somebody to handle you, the guy whose loving and looking out after her young little ones for all time, is in basic terms incorrect. you ought to on the different hand, tell her your no longer probable satisfied with the way she treats you, be warned you will possibly no longer get that next examine, or ask to be paid weekly and then provide up in the adventure that your no longer already paid on the top of the week. you ought to objective discussing it along with her, yet identity coach her the honour she shows you, no word and in basic terms provide up. you are going to be taken care of like a angel of mercy, a guy or woman whose doing what mom cant, your somebody to appreciate in any respect situations, and could sense respected in any respect situations. Im sorry this is going on for you, with any luck the subsequent guy or woman will cope with you lots greater advantageous and its a greater robust paying job. Dont take under min salary, this guy or woman can declare on her taxes what shes paying you *US, after which you owe taxes for what she paid you, and theres no longer something you're able to do approximately it. So interior the destiny word of the tax implications with the job.
