they claim they are following the Bible, so why insist in being called Christians anyway? why not Biblians? i think that's the most appropriate address to be used for the Bible-fundies/Biblians.

this is just a suggestion to classify them clearly. so, how does that sound?

I guess I'm considered a "fundie" as you put it
Because I believe the bible is true and was inspired by God

In the book of Acts Chapter 11 verse 26 it says;

"and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that even for a whole year they were gathered together with the church, and taught much people, and that the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch."

So the word says that we were called Christians first in Antioch, not Biblicans.

seek the truth don't be a scoffer,

life's too short to screw up eternity

Christianity is what Christians make of it. It in no way replaced into, and not in any respect would be, an unmediated devotion to the concepts of Jesus. From the 1st actual, Jesus's teachings have been formed and interpreted by using others. today, Christianity has split into relatively some diverse traditions that words like "the Christian factor to do" have all yet lost their meaning. by using the by using, there are a number of bigoted Muslims, too.

It sounds ridiculous as we being CHRISTians have chosen to follow CHRIST who actually is the WORD and who was with God in the beginning, hence John 1:1 which states;

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word (Which is Jesus Christ) was God."

Since the WORD (The Bible) is clearly Jesus Christ then we are followers of Christ through His Word and His living example/sacrifice, hence the very appropriate title of, "CHRISTians!"

Hebrews 4:1 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Jesus knows your heart with regards to this question you have posed. He loves you anyway.

Well actually they follow neither Christ or the bible. I know there are many different beliefs, but mainly if asked what they must do to be saved, most will say nothing, just believe and ask Jesus into your heart and say the sinners prayer, which is not in the bible, non of it. Read Acts Chapter 2 and what Peter had to say.

They should be called false dontrine followers. Or fairy tale people.

I am a Christian. I follow the living Christ. The Bible is the instruction manual for a relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ.
So it does not sound all that good to me.

Are Christians harming you in any way by calling themselves Christians? Or do you just hate the light because your deeds are evil.
