Whether you are a believer or not, there are questions out there that are so outrageous...are you bored, or what?
Me, I'm guilty as sin, but I don't answer the obvious time wasters.

Hmmmm, you got me thinking!?!?

Guess what????

I just realized what damned waste of time I've been giving in to here!?!?

It's stupid for me to come into the R&S!?!?

People here are just fighting with each other and bashing each other here!?!?

And, you better not say anything against the Muslims or their Islam! Bam! Violations Notices, foul mouthed e-mail, Harrasment!?!?

Guess it's time to say Good Bye, here!?!?

It's back to Computers and Internet, for me, now!?!?

Good Bye, y'all!?!?

I don't think any question is a time waster other than the ones that are clearly rude, obnoxious or racist. I think people have just as much right to ask as they do to answer therefore I try to answer as many as I can and I do not do it just for the points, I hope doing this at some point helps someone else in some way. I know it helped me feel less guilty about questioning my faith.

Sometimes I do answer questions that obviously are meant to offend someone who thinks as I do. Often I use it as an opportunity to make a case for my way of thinking so that others who read it will be influenced by an accurate portrayal of that position. I don't really care about the person who asked. But maybe someone else who is here to just goof around will actually learn something.

Other times, I'll just make a funny quip, just for laughs.

Good Point.

It's kinda sad that the serious questions get fewer answers than the obvious inflammatory ones. Why all the attention paid to trolls?

I don't answer the obvious "baiters." They only want to rile things up,and only accept the responses that reflect their own views. I don't understand why they ask questions, then completely dismiss the answers that don't mirror their own thoughts. Why ask if you don't want to hear what others perceive as being the truth?

Sometimes I answer questions like that for the benefit of other believers who might gain encouragement from my answers. Other times I just remember what Jesus said and pass on certain questions.

Matthew 7:6 "Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.

Well, the reason is that...wait...is this a trick question?.. man,you just got me.

The most ridiculous ones, I simply pass on, unless I give in to temptation and opportunity to outwit them, and shut them up.
Jesus, did this when he answerd wisely to "baited questions"

1. give to Ceaser.... and give to God.....
2. ...without sin,cast first stone.

Because I desperately want to enlighten ignorant people, despite the fact that it is all in vain. I don't know why I make the effort.

as a believer i should always give a answer regardless of their motive !!

1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1Pe 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
1Pe 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
