So many of the answers I have read suggest that God can't be called loving if he:
1) would allow people to go to Hell
2) would allow evil in this world

Suppose for a moment that God is real, that he did creat you and the earth. Do you owe him anything? Do you owe him the respect of following his commandments? Do you own him fellowship?

If you are unwilling to seek him or to follow his commands, then why should he give you a free pass? Why would he have mercy on you when so many others have followed him sincerely for thier whole lives?

Evil, sickness, etc is all the result of sin. Other than natural disaster, what evil in this world is not rooted in sin?

Alright first things first. Let's look at what the original SIN was!

It was not disobedience as some ignorant people that can not read think! The so called SIN was for Adam and Eve to obtain the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL!!
Without such knowledge it would be impossible for anyone to make any choice what so dever. In shofrt we would be nothing but a lap dog for this God! IS THAT WHAT THIS GOD WANTED?? NOT THINKING HUMANS BUT HUMAN SIZE LAP DOGS???

NEWS FLASH: Knowledge of Good and Evil DOES NOT GIVE ONE A DISPOSITION TOWARDS EITHER! IT ONLY MEANS THAT WE CAN MAKE CHOICES!! CHOICES THIS GOD CLEARLY DIDN'T WANT US TO BE ABLE TO MAKE!!!

As for this God creating everything and knowing everything. If this is true then this God would've known before creating anyone (ENCLUDING SATAN) every thought they would have and every action they would take! Given this level of knowledge into each soul / person there is NOTHING anyone could do that would be a surprise to this God!
It would also mean that we could not be any more or less then this God intended for us to be! It is also written in your bible that unless your name was written in the book of life BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD that you would go to hell!! (REVELATION 13:8 & 17:8)
It is also written that God created some for glory and some for destruction! WHY?? To show those that were created for glory how wonderful God is that he doesn't torture them too!!! (ROMANS 9:21 - 23)

As for this God's law give me a break!!
A God that commits genocide on two occasions before ever giving a single LAW is not a LOVING GOD!! A God that slaughters innocent babies (Exodus 11:5) IS NOT DESERVING OF ANY RESEPECT!!

HOW CAN ANYONE BE EXPECTED TO RESPECT ANY ENCLUDING A GOD THAT HAS SUCH A BLATENT DISREGUARD FOR LIFE AS THIS GOD DOES!!

I could go on with what is wrong with this God and with the bible! But I think I have made my point! THIS GOD IS PURE EVIL!!!

You're assuming that everyone would, given the choice, choose to be created. Can I tie someone down, forcibly feed them an ice cream cone against their wishes, and then demand payment for said ice cream cone? Is that something a loving, all-powerful God would do?

It's true: if God is all-good, and all-powerful, and He created everything that exists, it is logically impossible for evil to exist. Yet, if you are a Christian, you probably believe that evil exists, and that God is both of the things I described above. If evil does exist, God is either not all-good, or not all-powerful.

I can't speak for others because they may have gone through bad experiences and have reasons to be mad at God. I can only speak for myself and say yes, I think I do owe God things. I owe him everything, I owe him a better effort at succeeding in life and being a better person and trying to improve myself, Thats what I owe him.

Nope. I don't owe a sadistic, slaughtering God anything.

I would NEVER worship ANY being who creates evil and devises a system of mass torture, especially one who allegedly has the ability to do ANYTHING he DESIRES. The Biblical God makes Hitler look like an Eagle Scout. Others are free to teach their own children to praise a killer of millions if that's the kind of thing they find impressive. Mine will be taught morals instead.

No, I do not. Just like I wouldn't owe an abusive parent who beats me and neglects me anything.

Have you actually read the bible, do you know how poorly and cruelly he treats his followers? He acts like a two year old having a temper tantrum in a play pen and throwing his toys around and smashing them when he gets upset. This is NOT a God I want to worship.

Sickness is not a result of sin, are you going to tell me that my four year old niece has leukemia because she's such a horrible sinner? Are you going to tell my that my mother died from cancer because she was evil?

If your God would cast me into the lake of fire JUST for refusing to bow down and worship him all I can say to him is "Bring it on you SOB, let's see what you got."

Sickness is the result of sin? Really? You think that a child born with epilepsy is being punished for her sin? Baloney.

I don't think I owe him anything. I did not ask, or for that matter, particularly want to be brought into this world.

I know that he sometimes comes to me in the form of the Loch Ness Monster and says to me

"You got three fifty?"

So yah, I think I must owe him for something.
