Going to a doctor is very important, if you haven't done that already. Getting more exercise, cutting down on high cholesterol, fatty foods, such as red meat and fried things can also help. Prescription drugs are also available to aid in cholesterol reduction, but can only be prescribed through a doctor.

Eat Cheerios every morning, that is what the people on the commercial do to get theirs down. If you cook with oils then use olive and canola oils instead of shortening or vegetable oils. There are plenty of medicines to lower it but if you would rather do it the hard way then check out this website. It has lots of tips on how to help cholesterol with your diet.

If you have been consuming bad FATS, being oil, and burgers and chips full cream milk and cheese and that kind of stuff then you need to cut that out of your diet and eat healty fats eg: nuts, avocado (not too much) oily fish is good for you and general lean meats cooked on the grill no oil or very small ammount and you need to eat more Veggies. And after you have done all that get it re-checked and see if that has helped to bring it down. Good luck.

Eat a healthy diet, and cheerios for breakfast, excercise, and take fish oil. My mom's doctor was the one that recommended fish oil for lowering the cholesterol.

Do you like oatmeal? Eating some form of oats will help. It really helped my Dad.
Pomegranit juice is kinda bitter like drinking cranberry juice only worse, but it helps too. You can buy it mixed with cherry juice and that helps the taste a bit.

they claim Cinnamon daily gets cholesterol and diabetes in check,,,,,buy the pill or take a half a teaspoon a day on oatmeal or something you like

there is something called a DASH diet that is good for cholestrol and High BP next time your at the store get the latest family circle magazine there is a good sized article in there that should really help you out
