I have a couple of boxes from last year and wonder if they are still edible.

Dont they have expiration dates on them? They are not edible anymore they have short shelf life.

I opened a box of Thin Mints that were FOUR years old, unfrozen, and they tasted just fine. The Scotties were a tad stale but still okay

GAWD I know I'm getting older when Girl Scout cookies last more than a WEEK in the house

First of all, to the others that answered there is no expiration date. If it has been a year, I would throw them out. I would only keep them a few months, unfrozen.

I believe the general rule and my own experience would be 1 year as a shelf life. Girl Scout Cookies do not contain preservatives. They are all made with pure vegetable shortening, are kosher, and freeze well to extend their shelf
