he and i have been together since around june. get along great. he says he doesnt want anyone else. he recently started professional school and now thinks that i interfere. i am also in professional school in a town an hour away, but we still can see each other regularly. i try to be very supportive, and at this time, since school is still new for him, i keep my expectations minimal. he tells me that he doesnt think we can hang anymore because he isnt ready; he has a lot he wants to do, he wants to be the best student, be more settled in his new town etc. i just want to know if this is a legit feeling or whether he is trying to get out without hurting my feelings. he swears im "perfect" and it isnt about me... but i cant help but think it is. we had this same fight when he first started school and within 2 weeks he literally showed up at my door begging me to try again, as long as we "kept it slow" which we have. im broken because i love this guy...should i give up?

he swears it isnt me. he swears it is him. but i heard that with boys that is usually just a line of crap.

he also never stopped being attentive. he calls and tects regularly, comes to see me whenever he has time off...invites me to see him whenever i can make it....even if it is just to study together. he tells me everything...and then today he told me this.

All relationships have their ups and downs. Give it some time. From his actions (visiting and calling you regularly) he still seems to dig you. Don't push him. Maybe he just needs some breathing room because he has all this new stuff going on.

not knowing what has happened in the past and why he acts the way he does ... i am not sure what to tell you. i would move on. he will slowly pull farther and farther away the more situated in his new town he gets. personally i think he doesnt care enough about you to make it a serious relationship - if he did he would have a long time ago - and he keeps you around in case someone else doesnt come along. move on. you deserve better.
