Visit the College Board website www.collegeboard.com and use some of their practice tips, tests, etc. Your counselor should also have some practice booklets that you can take home.
Then open the books and study!!! Good luck!

Take a test prep course (such as Kaplan or the Princeton Review). You may want to check in your area for any free courses also, there are usually some around if you look hard enough. These courses teach you great methods to answering SAT questions. Also, make sure you practice, practice, and practice some more. The best way to conquer any standardized test is to practice the types of questions that are on the exam. Trust me, I am a standardized test pro. I have taken the SAT, LSAT, and BAR EXAM!!

take a lot of practice tests. i am actually going through that struggle now. i haven't yet taken the SAT but i am hoping to do well the first time so i don't have to take it over and over again just because i have also yet to have taken any SAT IIs. planning on doing that in may and maybe the reg. SATs in june.
but lots of practice tests and don't guess if you don't have any idea what so ever. buy an SAT book and for the english study your *** off for the vocab. that is the part that is killing me. math isn't bad for me.
good luck, i know what you're going through and i have to say it sucks. they are dumb tests anyway.

Well, Try a study croup, stay after school for extra help on the subject you need to work on. Do not be nerves on test; take your time on the test.
Also set goals for what schools you want to go to.
Good luck on your SAT test!
P.S. Am taking mines the following year, because my birthday is late, (am a Libra and am 16).
GOOD LUCK!!!
