How can I copy a whole slide, not just pieces of it?

There's a view in PowerPoint where you can change the order of the slides by selecting them and dragging them to new positions. If you have a slide selected in that view (I forget exactly what the view is called), you can use the COPY and PASTE commands from the EDIT menu and it will copy the whole slide.

The VIEW of which Richard speaks is the 'slide sorter' view. But another method is to click the EDIT tab and select 'duplicate', which will place an identical slide next in order to the first.
