Would it go bad in my lunch bag for so long?

Yes, you can take it to school. As long as it's not in the sun or in a hot car, you should be fine. Leave it in your locker, or another cool, dark space, and all the preservattives in it will keep it nice and healthy for you!

I also live in the Dairy State. I don't know why your lunch bag would be sitting out at school for more than 24 hours. If you keep the string cheese refrigerated until you are going to leave for school in the morning, it should still be fine a few hours later when you actually consume it.

If you are worried, use an insulated lunch bag, and stick an ice pack in there with it. That's what I do with my daughter's lunch when I am sending yogurt or something.

It is a great snack, make sure you eat some fruit to balance your meal. String cheese and an apple would stay in you bag all day, you could even finish eating them on your way home if you didn't finish them at lunch. nummers

No--most cheese is safe if left out for 24 hours!
