Thank you very much everyone :). Based upon your responses, I feel confident that she will like these Peruvian lilies :)

Also, she is a very sweet down-to-earth girl.

Yes, they are lovely! Roses are completely overdone and unimaginative - save them for Valentines, and even then, get more than a dozen of various colors, so it's different, or get one long stemmed one and spend the big cash on a nice dinner out.

I love that not only did you decide to become more than friends, but that you want to do something special to mark the decision! That's awesome, and the boquet you've chosen is just beautiful, and I'll be she'll think it's just right!

I like to receive something more creative than roses. Roses are typical and safe so you could always go with those (in red or pink - not yellow, that means friendship!) but receiving something like a bouquet of sunflowers (which last FOREVER) or lilies is better, means you didn't pick something "safe."

Another possibility is to check out the flowers around her house - not only are you getting bonus points because you are observant but you are getting something you know she likes.

hope this helps!

Those are really sweet. I love them but will she? Depends on her personality. Many women just love receiving any kind of flowers :) but some are picky and like only roses. So I guess you kinda have to go with her personality. Is she hi maintenance or down to earth?

I think she'll like the fact that you took the time and effort to pick the right flowers more than the flowers themselves.

ANY girl would love the flowers you picked out :)

I would go for a dozen pink roses, red is for love, so that would probably be to much right now.

So sweet, you will definitely get brownie points for this!

I even have consistently enjoyed Tulips, they arrive in maximum of diverse colours and that they are captivating, additionally if the girl is interested in them she will re-plant them and save them for a protracted time. i think of giving vegetation different than roses shows great theory.

Well if it is a new relationship and it is based on a friendship that you have had then the classic pink and yellow roses combo.

DO NOT SEND HER THOSE FLOWERS! Too many colors. Send something simple. A single white or red rose or a dozen roses. Personally I think the single rose is a better call. Its less flashy .
