No.....those are not for white people at all. My mom did one of the kid ones on me in 7th grade and I could have killed her. My scalp was burnt and my hair was dry as straw and falling out everytime I brushed it. Go to a salon and ask if they use Rusk. They have 3 levels and it works great. It takes about 2 hours and you can't wash your hair for 2 days but the results are great and last for about four-six months. Only thing is depending on your hair you can't get blonde highlites b/c your hair will be over processed and will be dry and look like straw.

im a white redhead and as a racist joke when I was in college where we had a Karen cosmetology school to have my hair straightened. I bought a Brazilian blowout but the girls thought it would be really funny to switch out my blow out and see what would happen to put a relaxer on my hair. First it started to burn, I was rushed to the sink, I saw the girls eyes go wide and I put my hand back to touch my hair my hand came back with melting globs of hair melting away. I had to shave my head several times to get to Virgin hair. My scalp was burned, I still have patched of missing hair even though his happen in 2011, it changed how my hair grows and the speed. If you want to control you're hair do a Brazilian blowout or a Chinese method of straightening hair expensive but it will literally keep your hair bone straight for months you only have to keep up with the roots. I plan to do this method. Don't do a relaxer you're hair very well may melt off.

Relaxers are used to give Black Women Straight hair. Our natural hair is usually tightly curled/kinky and we use these chemical products to wear straight hairstyles. Think of it as a way to change an Afro to a silky straight hairstyle. I don't know any white women who use them, but that doesn't mean they don't. If you want to chemically straighten your hair, you should see a hairstylist rather than buying relaxer off the shelf at the supermarket. The chemicals are harsh and can burn the scalp/skin without proper application and after-care.

Hair relaxers are excellent for straightening course, curly or frizzy hair of all types. My brother with course blond hair used to use the relaxers and it was the only thing that would work.
These relaxers geered to a afro american population are stronger and made to penetrate the hair folicle better of very course hard to straighten hair and moisturize the hair.
They are excellent for straightening/relaxing the hair and not
frying it like many permanent wave solutions used to relax hair.

there are plenty of relaxers/straighteners for white hair (depending on what u want as an end result) I don't think I've seen any in stores and if I did I don't think that would be something to mess with on your own. Any good salon's consultations will be free-it can't hurt to go talk to someone about what you can do and price. remember to never cheap out on your permanent accessory!

I've used them on my hair before. It is like a perm but in reverse. Ogilvy makes one for non-african american hair. You should try this as the texture and structure between the two is so different that you can't guarantee an outcome.

Ok, for black people. a perm (or relaxer) makes our hair straight. But for ya'll (or white people), it would make your hair curly, they have different perms for that though. I wouldn't recommend putting a black person's perm in your head, it might be some drastic outcomes! =]

of course you can. i always use them (soft sheen carson) and its perfectly fine for me. i tried the ones at the salon, it was 15 times as much, but it sure didnt work 15 times better! and it took FOREVER!! lol. i really dont advise the ogilvie straightener, i tried it on my curly frizzy hair, and it did nothing! : (
