Love is a combination of things. Many people will tell you that it is a feeling, and that is part of it. The emotional part of love give us a feeling that we want to spend time with a person, want what is best for them, and we like the way we feel when we are around them, but there is more to love than emotions and feelings. Love is also the way you act toward some one. I may like the way I feel around you, however if I do not treat you in a respectful manner and do the things that are best for you than I do not love you. A good example of this is some one who say they love thier spouse, but abuses them either physically or emotional. What they mean when they say they love that person is that they have loving feelings toward them, but because they are causing them harm, this is not real love. Love can hurt you, but it can never harm you.
