Let me suggest that you never put syrup on your pancakes.
Let me further suggest that you never, ever criticize any other for their God given rights to enjoy a little rich, sweet, sticky, sumptuous, sexy and natural maple syrup, whenever and wherever they may choose to put it!

Hmmm... I love Mrs Buttersworth all over my buttered waffles! delish! It's great on my bacon too.
But if it's not for you ... don't eat it, just don't pass judgement.
I don't like milk on my cereal (I love milk and I love cereal, just not soggy cereal)

If you don't like it, then don't eat it. I like it, so I eat it. I don't think I'd want to eat a bunch of boring dry pancakes.
