I have been a few places but New Zealand is #1 for me!
Second is Costa Rica both are cheap, stunningly beautiful and the folks are friendly to Americans, in both places.

I've been to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe and East Asia.

The cultures of Europe (England, France, Italy...) are interesting because most Americans can trace their heritage back to that continent and that Western culture has become the most influential in the world.

The cultures of Est Asia are interesting also because they too, have contributed so much to world civilization and are very deep in history and traditions as well. What's more, Asian-Americans are getting more and more numerous and prominent in American life so the cultures of their roots become more relevant to all of us.

Of all the countries I've visited, Vietnam is among those on the top. Never have I seen/experienced a country so beautiful, peaceful, safe , comfortable and affordable and a people so friendly, honest, kind, hospitable and helpful as Vietnam and the Vietnamese people.

I enjoy the British Isles. From the ancient sites like Stonehenge to the very modern and upscale shops in London the history and beauty of the UK is fascinating. Our language is the same for the most part. In general I found Brits to be especially hospitable, cordial but somewhat reserved, and usually tolerant of honest mistakes by Americans (like learning to drive on the left side of the road).

Yes!!!For first time travellers like you, I would suggest going to Hong Kong. This spot is perfect for first time travellers as they are tourist friendly in terms of signs, directions, brochures on wherever you need to go. They have the best restaurants, shopping is like until 1 in the morning and best of all, if you spend in US dollars it's like a dollar to HK 7.78 - that's almost eight times spending power !!! Plus Hong Kong Nationals are so educated most of them speak English for the most part.

Good luck!!

India, where I enjoyed the rich culture. Among many nice places that we visited, I found Taj Mahal to be simply the most beautiful. It is said to be the only monument of love in the world. I enjoyed my experience with Smile India Tour and their dental tourism in India company Dental Care India Tour. They arranged Zoom and BriteSmile teeth whitening in India for us very cheap at one of 50 dental clinics they have at many cities in India.
