Calling all Hairstylist/Non-Hairstylist and Bootleg Stylist too, questions about microbraids?

Question

to do Microbraids and what size should they be in order to be able to tie the knots.Any specifics to a duh person like me on tieing the knot.I tried wrapping a piece of hair around the braid then looping it but it seem to be untieing....Please help the braider has left me high and dry with $250 of my money and some knots that are coming down and I am trying to redo this...*******I have pictures to take tomorrow,Hurry it's urgent***Thanks
