From space, you can see all the earths pock marks, long concealed over hundreds of thousands of years,
such as crater lake.

Now, again, if God designed the universe perfect and earth to be fully protected, why has the earth been pelted with meteors,

oh, and how do you think the moon formed, just curious?

That's logic - they hate that! I guess the answer is that those primarily occurred before 6,000 years ago, which seems to be, in their opinion, the age of the Earth. So, I guess none of that mattered if it occurred before then, since Earth obviously didn't exist. Which begs the question, how could meteor impacts before that time exist? Damn, just doesn't add up, does it?

I'm glad you are curious. It is one of the great gifts God has given us.
Science/astronomy and religion are often portrayed as mutually opposed. In actuality, they are both efforts to understand our world. W/o science - we would still be living in damp caves. W/o religion - we would think were destined to.
Genesis 1 is part of a Bible Prequel to the Faith Bible/Story which starts in Gen. 12 w/ Abraham. Thanks to archaeologists, a fair share of Ugaritic literature from around Ur where Abraham grew up has been recovered and translated. The first creation story is an articulate adaptation of a much older piece, the Gilgamesh Epic. In those times, science and religion worked closely together to interpret and tame the world. Thus Gen. 1 begins with a stark scientific fact: Chaos ruled and w/ a encouraging religious truth: Spirit was greater than chaos and order can exist.
The mechanical meteor/moon question is a matter of the varied forms of energy, still not understood black holes and the like. The difficulty of it is is mentioned in Gen. 1 w/ the two verses on light - one involving our sun and moon.
God's speed.

The Earth has been pelted by meteors, because God knew it was necessary in nature.

God also created the moon.

Do Christians realize that man cant answer every question in existence thats why they know there is an intelligent creator.
Do Christians realize that no one else can explain it but little man thinks he is so smart but is only fooling himself.
Why yes we do.

Nice example. One more point for atheism.
