They DO think they are perfect. They think they know more about biology and evolution than any biologist. When presented with facts, they act like a little 3-year-old kid with down-syndrome and say that they are right and everyone else is wrong.

Someone probably already said this, but ...
On the contrary, they are confessing before God and man that they are sinners (A person with lots of flaws) saved by the grace of Jesus Christ on the cross.
A believer in Jesus Christ has actually looked in the mirror and SEEN what they really are in spite of all that God intended for them. They are humbled by the sight and seek favor with God to "do something, anything" to be washed clean and made new.
A Christ-ian, however, because they have been made new can often appear as light to the person still living in the darkness of their sin.
And what happens to a person when they are in darkness and someone suddenly flips on a bright light? They hide their eyes because it can actually be painful, uncomfortable to the eyes.
The sinner, living in this darkness has a choice, to try and re-focus or run and hide. They can become angry or intrigued. It is called, free-will!

No, I personally don't assume that Christians think they are flawless. But I do think it a little silly to be forgiven for your flaws, no matter how large, just because you belive in Jesus Christ as God's Son and the saviour. I met a Christian who told me that God would forgive and look more favourably on a child molesting axe murderer for believing in God, than an atheist who lived a good life, always giving to and helping others. If that's the case, then good and bad mean nothing anymore do they, and moral flaws certainly don't mean anything. All that matters is that God gets worshipped and people who believe in him are forgiven no matter what they've done. I think that is completely contradictory and hypocritical not to mention nasty, vindictive and spiteful, and is no God I would choose to worship.
I don't expect people to be flawless, but I expect them to be good and decent, whether they think 'God' will forgive them or not.

I am a Christian, I have plenty of flaws, and anybody who's ever spent more than about five hot seconds around me can tell you about a lot of them. I'm not proud of the fact, but that *is* how it is.
It's part of being human, and at last notice, that's what I am. Forgiven, but still human and still capable of making some doozies of mistakes.
And as far as I'm concerned, anybody who claims to be perfect had darned well better be wearing a crown of thorns if they expect me to believe them!

The two are not synonymous. If a Christian were without flaw, he or she would be like God. No way. But the bible does say God's power is made perfect in our weakness. Christian's freely admit to their weakness and rely on God for their strength. Conversely, God cannot use someone who believes they are without flaw because God has no use for the proud and haughty.

Christians should be among the first people to admit their flaws and shortcomings. Recognizing they're imperfections is a pretty big part of the religion.

No you are right, Christians are not perfect and they do sin all of us sin, but none of us are forgiven automatically just because we say we are Christians,Only those true Christians who repent truly, and turn away from doing bad things that God dislikes will be forgiven but also not automatically This s also shown by what Jesus said in (Matthew7:21,22)"Not every one saying to me Lord'Lord, will enter into the kingdom ogf the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father will. Many will say to me, in that day:"Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name? And yethen I will confess to them,I never knew you! Get away from me you workers of Lawlessnes.24.Therefore every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them, will be likened to a discreet man, who built his house on the rock mass! Also this shows that just believing in Jesus is not enough for salvation, it is a must for us to do the Will of God Jesus ' Father! Otherwise we will be considered by Jesus as workers of Lawlessness! That may sound harsh to some but it is not since if we truly love God then doing his will will not onl;y be important to us as iot was to Jesus but it will be noo hardship on us because we will love to do it like Jesus did. So then it would be wise then to make absolutely sure that we are doing what God requires of us, among the first of those is learning accurate knowledge in the Bible(John17:3)

Absolutely not! A Christian knows that he or she sins, and must pray for forgiveness. Only God is flawless.

No, I know that they have flaws, but they tend to act like they are perfect. They continually tell us that they are going to be saved and hang out with jesus when they die, and how he is their personal friend. They need to get real and at least act like they have a little humility

No one of us is flawless. We all need Jesus for our Salvation. We all fall short, the same thing with Christians. We are not saved because we are good,we are saved only by the mercy and grace of God.
