Limestone? Wow are they that bad. Limestone sounds pretty. I would use a primer and possibly a concrete paint if you want it to last a long time or if it gets damp. You probably won't need primer with concrete paint, read the label and consider the cost of doing primer and a good kitchen bath paint which holds up really well under damp conditions and covers well as well as levels itself out. use a block filler as your primer and topcoat with the following....if you have no moisture issues use a flat latex , if you get some dampness or other moisture issues use an industrial oil based enamel or an epoxy.....painting conrtactor
