keeping telling/reminding your self of the good things. in some ways our minds are a little like a dog training a dog. it takes repetitive training to master a behavior. sooner or later those negative thoughts you are thinking will slowly be replaced by the positive ones that you have in stilled. this is going to take sometime. just keeping doing and fake it till you make it.

for one you do not want to banish as you say it , th3e inner critic, everyone has an inner critic and that is part of keeping the balance of yourself. As for your weaken resisstance to positive internal dialogue, well you need to work on that, that is low self esteem and it does not come from just yourself, but what you have been hearing from others for years. So please do not blame your inner critic for it .If you need help then go and get some professional help, and by the way you are talking you need to do that. And do it as soon as possiable.
