It all depends on the visa you want. If you're coming for a non-immigrant visa with no dual intent (ie. F-1, J-1, etc.) then you have to prove that you're going to come back. If you can't prove it, they'll deny you. If you're going for a B1 or B2 visa, you need to have enough funds to cover your entire trip. If you don't, you'll get denied. If you're appylying for a job visa like H-1B, you need to have a sponsor and at least a Bachelor's. It goes on and on. The requirements for going to the US vary from visa to visa. Look over what the purpose of that visa is and make sure you're only going for that reason. If necessary, get a lawyer to help you with the paperwork.

What kind of visa that you want? Each Consulate have their own qualification to decide whether a person is qualified to get a visa or not and they don't have to answer why.

American law requires the visa applicant to prove he/she will not overstay the visa. American law requires the consular officer to start with the assumption that all applicants will overstay.

For starters, you need a job. You need a very good job. Something worth going back to.

You are 20 years old and if you were born in Los Angeles that would have made you an American Citizen but it sounds like your citizenship was denouced. If you had kept your USA citizenship you could have traveled freely to the US. Cancelled without prejudice means you can reapply.

Because we have enough cab drivers and mini-mart clerks, thank you for applying.
