My boyfriend and i have been dating for 6 months and i don't feel IT anymore. It's a long distance relationship. I want to know what the best way to end it would be. I know what i wanna say-- that's not the problem. The problem is should i wait until the next time he comes here to do it? should i do it over the phone? e-mail? IM?

I don't have any way to get to him, and i think it'd be very unfair if he drives all that way to spend the weekend and then break up with him. but, i don't know.

You can do it however you are the most comfortable. Despite what people once thought, you don't have to be face to face. I went to a therapist for a break up once and that was his advice. Being face to face can make you feel more guilty if the person is upset. Over the phone or via email, or a letter means that you can control the situation and really say what you want the person to know without as much drama.

In person would be the best way. Worst case senerio use the phone but whatever you do don't use e-mail or IM because that will just make it 50 times worse and it shows that your a coward.
Like I said, in person and if not possible over the phone.

Do it over the phone it's fine. The reason it is long distance and you've only been together 6 months. Don't do it by e-mail that is joke or a istant message. You need to talk.. Good luck.. =)

I would deffinately not make him waste a trip and you can tell him over the phone. That way you two can talk about it. I'm guessing you still like him, just not that much anymore. So it would be best to explain and answer any questions he has for you.

depends on how close u r but i think face to face is better....phone ,, email etc is a bit cold. the only other thing is if i ts long distance and he is only coming down to see it will be a bit cruel for him to come all the way just to be dumped...maybe hint to him over the phone that u dont think its working out and if he still insists on coming over to u then thats that....good luck

Never never never do it by hiding behind a computer. That's the cowardly way out.
MY last resort would be the phone, but if he plans on coming home soon, say it to his face. If it's going to be awhile, tell him over the phone.

It will just be hard if you do it when he is face-to-face with you, especially if he comes there to just see you, it will be a waisted trip and he will be miserable the whole time. Just tell him how you feel the main way you contact each other. Its good that you do it before you do something you regret, like cheating or something. It's good that you want to tell him how you feel.

I think it all depends on how you feel for him that determines how to break the news, people who just don't give a ??? email it or txt it,that is very uncooth, but if you care for him and regard his feelings you will tell him in person..

pick a place to meet best is a park and just tell him how you feel about the relationship and tell him that you dont feel the conection anymore between you to and it will be alright so just tell that you will go left and he will go right and meet other people=]
