Volunteer somewhere to help someone. That always makes me feel better.

I think every 13 year old has felt this way at one point or another. Try joining a club at school or volunteering in your community. Not only do you need to be among people, but having something in common or a common goal is helpful. By volunteering and helping someone else that might also feel lonely could be very rewarding. Maybe a nursing home or hospital? You might befriend the most unlikely person and end up with someone who needed you as much as you needed them.

This is quite normal at your age. Your hormones are kicking around like crazy right now. Yes, some activities in school would be a great idea. Yes, you have friends, but you do need something else, this is why you are feeling lonely. Try to get involved in school or your community and keep yourself busy so you don't have a lot of time to feel this way.

Hormones in adolescence do strange things. It may be just a phase you are going through. (Adults use that one a lot.) Get out and smile. Join a group at school, say hi more often, ask a another kid for help on homework (even if you don't need it), sometimes it only takes a little nudge to get someone to talk to you.

Oh....you are a sweet 13...hmm...young and energetic...should be into all those teen idols...nobody should feel lonely nowadays, just because there isn't a physical person next to you doesn't mean you are lonely. Get to the WWW and sign on to messengers...whatever messengers...get to know people.

Outdoor wise, just get out go window shopping, walk around...you will meet people or even your friends at places you don't normally see them...just go out...you don't have to have people going out with you all the time, get out yourself to the neighbourhood mall and walk around...

Start doing things for other people and see how great it feels. Open doors, pick things up for people, volunteer and visit someone in a nursing home who never has company. They don't expect a thing and you have so much you can share. Get out of feeling sorry for yourself and you will turn it around. Enjoy!

Exercise...your endorphins will make you feel better even when you're alone.

Get a job...its a great way to meet people and have something to do, plus the extra cash is great.

Join clubs, teams...more friends that enjoy things like you.

Write...its great therapy.

Spend more time with the friends you have...you'll appreciate them more.

Get a job. Thats what I did, and I now work so much (outside of school) that I'm away from home on the weekends (which makes me away from the source of problems) and I have made lots of friends. Plus, you get a lot of money, too. There's no downside to it (besides having to actually do work, but if you pick what you like to do, it can be fun).

Please discuss this issue with you Doctor or some other professional. Regardless if you don't feel depressed or suicidal it's a issue that a 13 year old should not have to deal with alone.

Take a fun class or volunteer doing something you like. You'll be too busy to be lonely and you'll meet people who have the same interests as you.
