my parents read my diary?

i have this weird feeling that my parents read my diary. i left my key accidently, so i assumed they opened my drawer and saw my diary. they mentioned about my crush which they have never mentioned before. what should i do? i felf embarrassed whenever i think about that.

ask them if they read it. unless you are acting weird and using drugs, they should respect your privacy.

I dunno. Maybe talk about it... ? My mother use to read my diary when I was growing-up. I felt that she was invading my privacy. Leave them a note in there... like, "hey mom and dad. How's it going? I don't read your s--t, so why are you reading mine?" Hope all that works out for ya, but you really never should write what you don't want to be said out loud. Does that make sense?

It's perfectly natural for parents to mention a crush . Parents don't have the time to go searching your drawers regularly . While you may be mortified that they saw your diary , realize that if they did - they wouldn't hint at the contents to tip you off-unless it contained something they felt the need to confront you for . Since they didn't confront you , and instead made mention of something that all parents do at one time or another - I would relax . That's what parents do sometimes , pry for no apparent reason because they love you .

If they read it, I´m sure they did it because they care about you, of course that´s wrong, tehy should respect your privacy. Lock your diary next time and don´t feel embarrassed, they were young too.

but just get a new diary
and hide it and carry the key with you
at all times.

maybe you said more about the crush than you remember...
just trust that they didn't, and for your own peace of mind move it to a new place... if they did read it...oh well, all cats are out of the bag!
