inspite of what transmission you've you ever can shift on the fly at as a lot as 25mph in case you shift into 4 intense at any larger speeds you probability grinding gears, blowing up your transmission, or perhaps blowing up your transfercase in case you do it too many cases. yet for 4 low you should should be in impartial and consider to have come to an finished end or in the adventure that your rolling issues dont line up correct and they grind gears and your jeep shouldnt allow you to shift into 4 low in any case in the adventure that your in force. oh and in 4 intense dont exceed 55mph and in 4 low dont bypass over 25mph all that is contained in the vendors guide that you should have and could verify once you've the different questions.

regardless of what transmission you have you can shift on the fly at up to 25mph if you shift into 4 high at any higher speeds you risk grinding gears, blowing up your transmission, or even blowing up your transfercase if you do it too many times. but for 4 low you have to HAVE to be in neutral and you have to have come to a complete stop or if your rolling things dont line up right and they grind gears and your jeep shouldnt let you shift into 4 low anyhow if your in drive. oh and in 4 high dont exceed 55mph and in 4 low dont go over 25mph all this is in the owners manual which you should have and should check if you have any other questions.

You should be in neutral-- do not be in any gear if it is a manual. But if it is automatic, you should let off the gas and be going relatively slow to put it into 4-high and you should be stopped and in neutral to go into 4-low.

Depends on whether you are selecting high or low range.
High range shifts can be done at any highway speed and in any gear.
low range shifts the vehicle needs to be rolling between 2-3MPH, and the transmission has to be in neutral.
