I send a few dozen emails each day, and read around 50, I will also send my forever love an e-mail every time I check my emails, which means probably about 6 or 7 per day, just to let her know how I feel about her, and how much she means to me.

speaking as myself here and not for men in general.
I only message someone if i have news to tell or if i want or need to know something.
emailing or calling for the sake of it is just something i do not do.
it is more a case of my own persoanl reason of which i'm not going to dicuss in an open forum such as this.
so if there is no news to tell, or information worth passing or interesting enough to pass on i don't as a rule.
you will find thaty guys do not keep a diary as a rule either except as a day planner for example if he works.
ok a guy may phone if he wants to here is girls voice, he may write just to have her write back now and then. but it is not something guys are generally comfortable doing as far as messaging girlfriends. some guys see it as playing hard to get and some just don't want to seem to keen on a particular girl.
but accept it ladies guys do we as a general rule do not write and as a rule we do not call that often either.
this is probaly because deep down most of us men are still cave men at heart and modern technology and using it has not filtered in to our brains properly yet.
that is just my thoughts on the subject. based on me and my life at age a 33and a bit.

The same reason men don't instant message much. We like to make you think that we have a life and are busy. If you have the time to sit at a computer and email all day, you don't have a life. Also, if a man is looking for a booty call, he doesn't want to make it into a relationship by emailing all the time.

In the course of a day, an average woman will say approximately 21,000 words. Men, on the other hand will only say 7,000.
Men are very action oriented, wherease women are more verbal. We choose to "talk" things through, and men lean more towards dropping the subject.
Email is just another form of communication that women use to outlet their 21,000 words.

Because email cannot express the emotional context behind what is being said. We prefer talking in person. I lost a relationship recently, that ended because of an email that was confusing to read. When I tried to ask her about it, she got pissed that I had a copy and then ended it, thinking I am just going to print off all our conversations and shove them in her face. Thats why.

Women in general babble on and turn a short story into a long one.....whereas men just say it how it is and job done.
Just like you dont see fellas ringing there mates for an hour chat on the phone.
we ring up arrange whatever it is and job done.
women are nosy...like to gossip and be in each others business.
no offense but its true if you think about it

i dont think that just guys necassarly dont want to email less than girls do. But if anyone didnt i would see why. It is very inconvienent, you could easly just call the person or just use some sort of instant message system like aim or yahoo messenger. So i would just say guys are just like that, anyone could be.

Because they can talk to you in person. It's kinda like text messaging. Why don't you use the phone for what it's for! I have a friend and we email a lot, but only because she lives far away and I can't talk to her, at all
