Mutation is part of cell life. It can be a positive change to combat disease or environmental conditions, or it could result in a negative change due to disease and environment. We can not currently cull out the negative mutations and leave only the healthy ones. Short answer as of today only very limited success has been made with the correction of mutations as it applies to cells.

Yes it can. However, you will need help from a professional counselor .. just as you need to see a Doctor for a physical problem. Good Luck to you .. Also, if you have no insurance, there are "sliding scale fee" clinics in almost any city .. Free of charge if you earn nothing. Check it out in your city .. If nothing else, .. call a local crisis / suicide phone number .. or dial .. 1-800-555-1212 and ask for a national crisis center phone number. The call is free. Admitting that you have a problem is a major step in the right direction. Good Luck to you!! :)
OOPS >> sorry. I thought you were speaking of personal mutalation. Or "cutting" .. sorry. :)

Mutation is mother natures adaptation for a changing environment. It gives the species longer life. If you stop mutation , then the status quo entity would have a shorter species life span.
