I had the same problem when I used Nair. I totally agree with you. I had to put Medicated Powder on My Legs and Other Places. It relived the burning and Itching. You can also use Corn Starch it works well. If you don't want to do that then get a cool washcloth and lay it over the burning area.

You've become sensitized to it. It's a common reaction to potential irritants. You may not react the first, or even tenth time to something (shampoo, nair, perfume, etc.) and one day have a nasty reaction similar to yours from that point forth. It is the reason why the instructions include doing a patch test every time...even so, that doesn't even give 100% conclusive results as you've experienced. Everybody's different, and very few people have symptoms like what you're experiencing.

At this point, whether or not they were to pull it off the shelves forever, you're not going to use it anyway, so life goes on.

I can relate to you. Nair and Veet both burned me, not using either one 1 second more than 5 minutes as directed, and they still made my skin extremely uncomfy. My doctor said that they are not especially good for sensitive skin. Never again will I use them.

If you followed the directions this would not have happened. It says before using, to do a small patch test and wait 24 hours before going all out and using it for real.

It also states on the bottle that people who were never allergic to it in the past can develop a sensitivity to the product.

Sounds like you've got sensitive skin. Nair also lets you know in the warning section that it can do this to the applied area.

Stop using it and wait for it to heal.I used it when i was younger and stopped for that reason.Later on,I found out that it kills ur skin when its killing the hair which makes it burn and turn red and itch,Try a really thick lotion like vasaline brand with cocoa butter to soothe it and help it heal or vitamin e gel which will do the same thing.

Your legs arent used to being exposed, i used it before i started shaving. Of course your legs are going to itch and burn. You put chemicals on your legs. Put a lot of lotion on and on the spots that itch the most, put on cortizon or benadryl cream.

Put some benadryl lotion or hydrocortisone cream on your skin. Did you try a "test patch" like the directions say or did you put it on your whole leg? Did you even read the directions?

You had a reaction to it ... can't control that. There is no legal bounds to make it illegal off of that. Don't use it again is all I can say.
