Here's an ideal weight chart to give you an idea of where you should be:
http://www.bannerhealth.com/_Bariatric/Bariatric_Surgery/Ideal+Weight+Chart.htm
According to this chart you weight should be between 108 and 132 depending upon your frame size.
I can tell you that often times in our culture, extra weight has more to do with our diets of processed foods and our stress levels more than anything else. It's a good idea to stay out of the aisles of the grocer that aren't refrigerated - or at least limit our intake of these foods. Stick to live, healthy organic food - you may also want to limit wheat and cow's dairy in your diet as they tend to be gluey and make it hard to lose weight. Instead opt for rice pasta or spelt bread, goat cheese and rice or almond milk. Stay active - yoga and walking not only help you lose weight, but help to reduce your stress levels, making it easier for you to lose weight. Yoga Journal online has been an invaluable resource for me: http://www.yogajournal.com

Hi ashloove !!!!
Look for better results you should consult with your doctor first. If this is the first time you will be actually on a diet, be careful!!!
Your doctor will advise you on what to base your diet on and how much you should loose. They have a chart to show, height/weight proportions.
You should see your doctor, so you be sure you are in good health before starting any diet.
What I'm doing is walking "A LOT" and eating sensibly. No saturated fats, no sugars, no soda, and very easy on carbohydrates,( white breads, potatoes & rice).
A diet rich in vegetables, and fruits are always recomended.
Add to this low fat milk(you have to drink milk) or soy milk.
GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE

Questions you should ask yourself
1. How do you feel?
2. Do you think you need to loose 10,15, 20?
You are the judge not me or anyone on this board. You have to live with you and if you think you need to loose alittle weight then start eating healthier and exercise. Only you know how you feel and look, if you are happy with you then live with you like are. But don't let others tell you you need to loose weight if you don't think you do...
Hang in there and just be you!!!

Do a good ab workout like Tammy Lee Webb's Abs of Steele, eat carefully and stay active but don't watch the numbers on the scale. Get naked in front of a mirrior and if you want to thin out exercise a little more then reduce fat and sugar intake. When you get to looking good to yourself just keep it up Oh and come and show me how well you've done!

I'm 5'4" and I currently weigh 150. My goal is to get to 130. That should put me in a size 6.
Of course, everyone is different. Look at your BMI and find out what is best for you. And of course, eat healthy (fruits, veggies, less processed fast food), and exercise often.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

only you will know. when you are comfortable then that's it. the height/weight charts were designed by insurance companies to figure out who the best bets were... they have nothing to do with reality. just on bit of advice.... don't lose it fast or you will more than likely gain it back.

properly if I were you i'd eat salads and greens on on a daily basis foundation, excercise for like 25 minutes. in case you dont like salads, attempt to eat in smaller parts or in good structure nutrients, no massive MACS or pizzas. perhaps some microwave stuff, they're exceedingly good. No middle of the night snacks both, rather if it is chocolate or ice cream. you should eat 4 hours previously you bypass to sleep. and attempt to diminish down the candies. worked for me. good success.

132. anything lower is too skinny for me. so try 8-10 lbs
just incase you gain a lb or 2.
