Sodas add about 15 pounds to you in a year. So yes, cutting them out would definately help you. By doing that, cutting down on calories, and exercising more you should see results quickly (if you're not really overweight.) Personally, I can cut back for a few days and am able to tell the difference in how much my stomach sticks out. And juice is typically good for you, as long as its not one of those sugary juice, and uses real fruit. But again, watch your calories with that.

Cutting Soda will definately allow you to lose weight. I often heard people say that there are about 8-9 teaspoons of sugar in one can of soda.
If the juices you drink are fresh squeezed, I don't think it will have an effect. However, if you are drinking concentrated juices, it may make a difference, but not as much as cutting down on soda.

Cutting out soda will help you lose weight. Drinking fruit juice instead will keep you fat. Fruit juice is SUGAR. You are better off drinking water and eating fruit. If you can't have a piece of fruit with a meal, substituting an 8 oz glass of fruit juice is acceptable, but you don't want to over do it on juice. Portion control is where it is at.

Absolutely!!! A 16 oz. of soda can contain 150 calories, Diet soda has no calories. Any type of juice has calories and even the natural juices have a lot of sugars. Water is always the best choice. Depends on how much you are consuming now and how much you reduce in order to determine how much you will lose.

You can even switch to diet sodas if you want. Soda is high in sugar/calories and juice is pure sugar. You definitely should lose some weight. I don't know how much or how long it would take though.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Juice is also bad the sugar content in apple juice is that of a can of soda, eating an apple is healthier then apple juice because digesting an apple requires more energy then drinking apple juice. In general any beverage with any sort of sugar is a bad thing. Caffeine is good to avoid too. Stick w/ water.

Read the label for ingredients. It is listed from greatest amount to least. Also, anything that has High Fructose Corn Syrup -- stay away from. The stuff is in just about everything these days. It's like sugar on steriods only worse. It triggers/blocks an enzyme in your brain that tells you when you're full. Whatever sugars and carbohydrates you take in that doesn't get burned off right away, gets stored as fat. Andthere in lies the dirty little secret. The package will tell you it's "Fat Free" but anytime you're dealing with sugar... Burn it or store it. There you have it. Best of luck!

I don't drink much soda but I read somewhere that a can of a regular soft-drink contains about six tablespoons of sugar, but don't cut out juices! they're good for you!
