First you look for it, and try to find it. If you can't, you go to the DMV Monday and say "I've lost my learner's permit. What do I have to do now?" or perhaps if you're in school the instructor would know.

How'd you lose it? If you lost the permit itself, go to the BMV and have them print you another one, it should be in their computer system that you had one, it might cost you some money though, like a penalty fee type thing. If it was taken away by the police, it's harder to get back.
