I think that it is people being scared of what they do not know. Therefore they critisized, bully, and kill others. Is it fair no. The same thing happened in England with Queen Elizabeth and the Catholic religion. People wanted to be something other than Catholic and what did they do...kill them. That is why you have The Protestant faith now because people wanted to move away from there and come to America and worship freely. the Protestants did the same thing to the people who studied witch craft...they killed them. Humans fear the unknown, and Christians are definitely not the only religion who kills people who do not believe. That is what the war in Iraq is really about. The same thing is going on still in Jerusalem and in parts of Africa. And you can not put Christians all into one category just cause one person said something. I am a Christian and my God is love...that is what I practice. I would never say that you religion is wrong because who is to say what religion is right or wrong...I would never force my beliefs on you. You have to believe him for yourself. The reason Jesus died in the first place is why...because the the king of the Jews (Herod) was threaten by Jesus who also claimed to be the king of the Jews. Same principle it has been going on since before Christianity ever became.

relatively, a Pat Robertson quote? you do no longer probable take that guy heavily, do you? comparing non-christians in usa annoying equivalent rights for all as a replace of in basic terms you christians to the slaughter of 6 million Jews isn't purely stupid, it relatively is absurd and downright disgusting. i've got have been given information for you: we don't have an atheist and gay schedule, we've an equality schedule. meaning which you delusional religious individuals are not getting to impose your superstitions and wacky morals on all and sundry else anymore. we don't care what you think of or what you suspect or the way you pray -- we are in basic terms unlikely to make it easier to dictate to all and sundry who does not think of how you do, we are annoying equality for each viewpoint. that's no longer persecution, it relatively is equivalent rights. You individuals are not getting to stroll everywhere in the form on the grounds which you have all the potential from now on -- cope with it. As for real persecution... how many christians have been killed by using gays using fact they are christians? (none -- however the choice has got here approximately relatively some situations) how many christians have been murdered by using docs using fact they are christians? (none -- however the choice has got here approximately relatively some situations) So, who's "persecuted?" Peace.

True Christian do not persecute non- Christians but witness to them. Although Christians are still human and do sin, all humans sin. I personally am a Christian and spreading the word of God is not persecution but is called witnessing. I don't believe in Paganism or Wicca and ect. I am not saying it's not out there but I choose not to believe in it and I believe that those practices are the work of Satin. But I am not going to insult or criticise you about it for you are the one who will have to answer for your decision of practicing it not me. Now as a Christian I would encourage you to re-evaluate things and take a good look at your beliefs but ultimatly you will have to live with whatever you decide to do. Those practices are promoted by evil and you are persecuting yourself by practicing Paganism ,Wicca or whatever else you may choose. I just hope you are ready to pay the eternal price for your decisions. Why is it that way, because Jesus said that "no one come to the Father but by Me" . This is the only proven religion there is. You need to remember that satin is the master liar, deciever, ect. Satin will only decieve you. I wish you the best... Good Luck

Here is the deal. As a christian, we are not supposed to be bullies. But we are to share the gospel (Mark 16:15). According to Christianity, there is only one way to heaven, and that is through Christ. (see John 14:6) Now, when doing one on one witnessing, I have never once offended anyone. Open air preaching is a different matter. John Wesley said "where ever the gospel is preached 2 things will happen. People will either get mad, or get converted." The whole deal is, we preach the gospel and share our faith with people out of love and concern for them, because we don't want to see them go to Hell.

(1) If Christians thought their faith was in error, they would leave Christ and join "that" religion.
(2) All Christians should rightfully label pagan religions as false. The term "dumb" perhaps applies because we are told by Paul that by ignorance man worships everything else but God, i.e., that's dumb.
(3) Christians should not be bullies. They should speak the truth in love. Not knowing the context of the conversation, I can only imagine that someone was trying to force some satanistic religion upon "the" Christian that you are referring to and did not like the "dumb" remark.
(4) Christians are at war with the world! What is worse, the world is at war with Christ!! But one day, He will return and wipe away all the dumb religions that He detests.
Now, having said all that, you have a choice - harden your heart and continue in sin against God, or repent of this false religion and see that Christ is Who you really need. the decision has eternal consequesnces.

Real Christians won't persecute you if you don't believe in the Lord, but will try to help you learn about the Lord so you too can have a personal relationship with the Lord. If a person is persecuting you and claims to be "the right one" their not. No one should persecute anyone anyway, we need to help each other out in this life, because life is hard enough without coming down on each other. Right?

Let's use the word "some" here. "Some" Christians...anyhow, i think some of it goes back to interpretation of the bible. Some Christians interpret the bible very very literally and still use their own interpretations of the interpretations. (does that make sense?) Some believe that by converting others and evangelizing, they are doing that individual a favor. They are bringing eternal life to him or her. In a way, their intentions are good...at least they feel that they are. But for others, it is offensive. I am a Christian, but completely opposite of a bully. In fact, I love learning about others' faiths and love seeing others practice their faiths. If you think about it, other major religions think they are the only faith as well.

Its a superiority complex, and the kicker is they pretend to be humble when they are so self righetous they condescend people even other christians, behind thier backs. christians that label true/false christians are the biggest snobs out there. PS Pagans DID NOT sacrifice children, its the christians that did human sacrifices, for fooks sake christians worship a corpse.

Because they are scared. In their perfect world everyone would be a christian but since they are not the dominate religion on the planet they reach out to persecute anyone who does not follow their beliefs. Most Christians today are not like their descendants, the murdering, crusading bigots but the ideology is still there. Just look at their god. He is a murdering, egotistical, racist.

You must live in a very comfortable world if having your beliefs called 'dumb' qualifies as persecution. There are places in the world where beliefs such as yours will still get you burned on a stake, stoned to death, or perhaps just thrown in prison to be raped and eaten by rates. Now THAT's persecution. Name-calling is for five-year-olds.
