My puppy likes to go underneath beds and crawl around...She barks and growls and stuff while she's under there. It's kind of weird because if I can't find her, that's usually where she is. I'm not exactly concerned, but should I be? Is this normal behavior for any puppy? She's 3 months old, I might add.

I have done research on the breed. I've done lots of research. And my dog is going to be a good representative of the pit bull type breeds and everyone who gives her a chance will love her. She's being socialized practically every day to children, and she lives with 2 other dogs and a cat. I take her out to see other dogs and cats as much as I can.

Ummm...I've checked under there to make sure she's not ripping something she's not supposed to rip to shreds. And she's not only going under my bed - any bed she can get under, she's under it in 2 seconds...

Lots of puppies do this...it is normal. I wouldn't be concerned, but be sure there are no "hidden dangers" like cords, small objects, etc that she can chew up and or swallow while out of your sight.

I highly suggest crate training her. This will serve a number of benefits.
1. Aids in house breaking.
2. Keeps your possessions and her safe from chewing.
3. Makes vet visits and boarding easier on her, and staff.
4. Makes travel easier, in the car, at hotels, etc.
5. Gives her a space of her own for "down time."

Make sure to get her spayed. http://www.friendsofanimals.org is affordable. http://www.pbrc.net will help pay if you are approved through the spay/neuter fund they have. An unspayed female or intact male is 3 times more likely to bite, more likely to be animal and human aggressive, and also leaves them at risk for life threatening illness.

Go to http://www.libertydogtraining.com and click on the product link. The product page has a litter of 10 pit bull puppies who are at a high kill shelter that gas their animals in a things called a "kill box..." not a pretty, humane, or even painless death. Do please don't risk an accidental litter, and if you want to be a good representative, do not intentially breed her.

You can sign up at the http://www.pitbullforum.com to meet a large pit bull friendly community and you will learn a lot of great info and get a lot of support from there.

Good luck with your pit bull!

I would say that as long as she is not destructive in her play under the bed, then it is fine. She's just found herself a favorite play area. If you dont want her under there, then you would need to train her that under the bed is a cold spot and is not allowed.

Just my suggestion. Pitbulls aren't just any dog.. They need special care. I hope that you did research on the breed so that it will be brought up properly.

Have you looked to see if maybe there is something under your bed, I know this sounds gross but check your mattress for mice.
