my husband says i could lose 8 pounds of ugly fat by removing my head but i still think eating lots of veggies and starting each day with fresh fruit along with drinking only water and milk is the best healthiest way.

Eat only fruits, vegetables and yogurt. Drink 8 + glasses of water everyday and a cup of fruit juice high in anti-oxidants-- like V8 Splash.
I'm doing the Fat Smash diet and supposedly you lose 8-10lbs in the first week. It's going well so far. I'm usually a big meat eaterl, but I've learned to cook good tofu stir fry and vegetable dumplings over the past year or so.
Exercise for 30 minutes, 5 days a week. Add more if you want to lose more. Don't overdo it or you'll drain your body of too much energy and will need to eat more (you might end up binging and ruining the whole thing) and you wont feel like exercising/doing anything because you'll have exhausted yourself.
Let me know if you want more help.
I wouldn't bet on losing more than 10lbs in two weeks.
Check out the Fat Smash Diet book and the Discovery Health's National Body Challenge website and forum.
