I had a close call the other day, and it kinda scared me. Do they look at the position of your feet in relation to the car, cause it seems like they can still run over your foot if they're just looking at your body.

if the driver can line you up between the headlights , he should be sure he/her will hit you pretty good. if you are on the outside of the headlights he/she should be pretty sure it will be just a brush.if he/she can see you at a 45 degree angle to either side of the windshield it is an 90 per-cent it will be a miss. and they may have to try again.

An experienced alert driver can judge how far away to be to avoid any part of your body. The problem is that many drivers are not experienced and not concentrating and could be drunk.

Avoid standing in the street and that way you are only at risk when a completely out-of-it driver comes up on the sidewalk.

To avoid any future close calls or speculation, stay out of the street.
