well since i play poker once a week I can tell you that the eyes are the dead give away along with nervous habits, look at people touching their nose, ears or scratching their arm/ hand.

My poker pace is easy, dont use it when you dont have to be jovial, have the same position (pose) when you are bluffing or holding all the aces, not to mention keep the same facial expression, try not to speak as voice paterns are a dead give away.

I have played with some unreal players but all of them have had a tell, most good players know their tell.

I have a tell of looking only once at my cards when they are good. I know this and work at mixing this up all the time.

Poker face does not =stone cold as some may like to think, I find them to be easy tells. What's dead on the $ is eye control, pupil dilation, dead stare. I call it a poker face "eye" bluff! People think they can read you by the look of surprise, hesitation or sadness in your eyes. And they can, but you can screw with it(lol) great fun! If you do, they'll 2ND guess themselves, and it destroys there concentration. If you can't do it, wear your shades! Most often then not, I do better with them off. I only use them when I don't feel like being bothered, or too tired to play the game,or the guys. Another tip, carry something with you, mints, cigarettes, water. If you feel your face is leading you astray, take a sip of water, smoke, grab a mint. Soon as I start rattling my mints , I become an easy read(not). Learned real quick to pull out the extras, even when I'm playing my best! This way they can't tell...enjoy ****it's still a man's game as much as I hate to admit it, but "us" woman can play it to our advantage any day of the week, and beat their sorry as-es!

Start off by wearing shades. From there onwards, you start controlling your facial expressions such as your lips and cheeks. Try not to make any special movements of those muscles. In the end, after trying out several times, you should get a near perfect Poker face. To get a perfect Poker face, you have to be reborn with it - it's in a Poker face's blood.

their is no true "poker face." watch the pro's play every time the WSOP or WPT is on TV. you'll notice that their "poker face" varies from guys like chris furgueson (who will have a "stone wall" face), to guys like phil hellmuth (who seems to wear their emotions on their face). one thing that they all have in common is that they have an aura of confidence. as long as you have that, you can't go wrong.
p.s. wearing shades doesn't matter, unless your worried about your eyes giving away tells.

tells vary from person to person because of different ways of reacting but there are usually similar things to look for. also look for repetitive behavior from hand to hand including betting habits and their reactions after the hand is played out.
one big tell is that some players will act weak when they have a good hand and act strong with a weak hand.
also, if your opponent's hands are shaking/trembling while placing chips into the middle, it usually means that they have a good hand.

Do things to throw your opponent off like purposley twitching your eye or moving your thumb. They will be focused on this instead of your actual thing. When someone hesitates it usually means they def. do not have the best hand. Unless they are the first one bidding. If someone else bids and they go in right away it usually means they think they have a good hand. Or they have already made up their mind they are going to bluff. Good Luck.

You might want to think about wearing shades at the table. This will hide quite a bit of information right there.

If you want to learn how to read tells there are two great books out there that you need to read. See link for details.
