I have encountered God in some of my dreams. They have had a big impact on me..

Was your experience like a dream?

If you are unsure of the encounter, it is unlikely that you had one, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I don't beleive, though, that if you were the "Follow my religion or you're going to hell" type of person that it would be at all possible. I beleive that god will only ever visit those with truly open minds, and if you follow a specific religion without question then you are closed to any new ideas, thus even if god were to visit, if "he" said the wrong thing you'd assume that it was satan.

Spirituality is an amazing thing once you leave the bounds of religion behind. It's complicated, though. Everyone needs to worship in their own way, and for some that is through going to church/temple/mosque regularly. For others it is done in simply living life to the fullest. I talk to god, though many won't beleive it. "He" doesn't speak back, but I'm sure there's someone listening.

I'm also sure there's some battle between someone who cares deeply for me and someone who wishes me the worst going on up there... Eh, I think far too much.

Yes it is possible for God to visit you. I had a son that was stillborn and while I, and my family had him in the room, my husband was holding him and a nurse took a picture of the two of them (as we took several pictures with him that day) and in that particular picture there is an image of a cross on his head and I (though I was heavily under medication) kept insisting that they take a picture of my husband and my son at that very moment. I know that I felt the presence of God with me during that difficult time.
And that is the only picture with that image, and when we visited him in the later days prior to the funeral there was no sign of an image on his head. So it was God and it was real! And I thank Him for giving me that image in a picture so I can view it anytime I want and I can show others the mighty works of God!

While many people had visits from God in the old testament, I am sure you are asking about modern day visits. I would say a resounding...YES! I myself have heard the voice of the Lord on at least two occassions and my husband has also on at least one occassion. I wish I heard it more! I am curious about your experience. I have not seen God...it says in the bible that no one can see the face of God and live.

When my Israeli wife came to faith in the Messiah Yeshuah, she prayed, "Yeshuah, if you are real I want to know you.

Light filled her room and she heard an audible voice saying "I will never leave you nor forsake you"

Very few have this kind of experience but it is possible because it says in the o.t. Tanach :

:
Ezek 34:11
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.

Yes It's possible.

This wasn't a dream, although I did have one recently. God's presence intervene to me on a job site, during a meeting of fifty employees and the boss, whom was very angry because we all messed up on the assembly line and cost him some money. I felt compassion in my heart for my Boss, so in the moment of truth I raised my hand, and said that I was one of them, God's presence fell on me, in and around me, warm and happy feeling, and I felt in my head God said," I am happy with you"..... basically God was there for me and pat me on the back.

Yes, when I was sick in the hospital. It is very possible. I don't tell my experience to others because I know what happened and I don't want their unbelief degrading my experience.

Every day. The god (Goddess) I believe in is in everything. The trees, the clouds, the moon, the sun, my husband, my parents....The Goddess' blood and love and spirit run deep in every living creature and thing on earth. I see god every day. It's in laughter and every morning kiss from my husband and every purr from my cats.

My "god" doesn't watch from "the sky" and wait for me to pass on to show himself to me. My Goddess interacts with me every day, all day. My Goddess lives in nature. She is nature. And all living beings. She is a part of all my experiences. I discover her on my own. Not from a book.
