The ACLU (American Communists Lawyers Union) right?
They are not for liberty they are for license nevertheless, most Americans don't understand the difference. Regarding immigration as well as homosexual marriage (Massachusetts) and countless other issues, our history going back to the founding should show every truthful person that from the beginning we have never regarded our laws. So I am sorry that you are just becoming dis illusions with the whole premise but that's life. I often wounder if it wouldn't be best for all the "True Americans" (People that get offended with this term are not.) migrate to a given section of the country and preppier to brake away from it.
I know that's unconstitutional but I have learned from the best (US Government) that if you want something you need only take it and fight to defend it. All the philosophical b.s. means nothing without action to enforce it.
We are not a nation of laws, we are the reactionary sons of the British Empire. We hold the Hegemony now and they are a second rate power. Think not that the same will not befall us it shall in time. And think not that those who are willing to fight yet have nothing will not prevail against their foes. Who was Alexander? The son of a Macedonian King (a back water) with little. But alas the ruin of the Persian Empire.

I think you answered your own question, I do not think it will make you feel better to know that all of the ACLU's efforts to subvert democracy are paid for by you. Yes that is correct all of the wonderful things they do are paid for by tax dollars.

I think your question is factually incorrect. If a law is passed that is not in contradiction to the constitution then the ACLU would have no grounds to fight it.

Do you mean the often vaunted "AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION"?

Do you think there is a legal means of keeping them out of this issue long enough for a common sense bill to actually be passed into law?

Its like the old ambulance chasers, they smell fame & fortune, And are more than willing to go after it at the expense of YOUR misery.
