I might be headed to Curacao on vacation in April, how long would a boat, or plane ride take to the Venezuelan capital? Also, which would be cheaper?

Like Adam said, Curacao is just about 35 miles off the coast of Venezuela. If you are going to Caracas, the easiest way at the moment is to fly. I am currently not living on the island, so I don't know about any ships that might ferry between Venezuela and Curacao.
There are several airlines that fly between Curacao and Caracas.

Curacao is just 35 miles north of Venezuela. Caracas is a 45 minute flight. I'm not sure which is cheaper, but Caracas is on the northern coast of Venezuela so a boat trip would probably only take a couple hours (probably have daily trips for cheap).

I don't think you can go from Curacao to Caracas by boat. By plane, yes, of course. There are direct flights, probably daily. They are quite expensive though. Around 300 Dollars round fare, plus the airport taxes. Another thing you can do is to go to Caracas through Punto Fijo (on the south east coast of Venezuela, right next to the oil town of Maracaibo). It costs less than 100 Dollars to get to Punto Fijo and from there you can take the bus to Caracas. I'm not sure how long that will take you, but I am guessing between 6 to 8 hours.
