Protestant and Catholics all worship the same God. Every Protestant Christian religion was formed from breaking off the Catholic Church. So, yeah.

The Catholic Church was started by Jesus and the apostles. The Protestants began in the 16th century. So the Catholic Church is about four times as old as the Protestants. That would mean that the Protestants are a splinter group that separated from the Catholics.
Both the Catholics and the Protestants are considered Christians as they both worship the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
They are different because the Protestants reject the authority of the Pope and Bishops and claim the Bible is the only authority. They also reject other Catholic ideas like purgatory, veneration of Mary, and the sacraments.

Other way around. Since Protestants worship the same God Catholics do, that means Protestants are part Catholic.

The protestant movement was part of the Reformation, during which numerous people protested against the practices of the the Roman Catholic Church at the time. Consequently, Roman Catholicism is not considered Protestant.

Catholisism and Protestantism are both part of Christianty but are two diffrent religions. So Catholisism does not belong to the Protestant faith.
Major diffrences:
- Catholics have a few extra Biblebooks.
- Protestantism was born during the reformation under people like Calvin, Luther and Wesley.
- The entire Roman Catholic church has one head.
- The are only a few Catholic subtypes like Roman, Orthodox, Episcopal, Angelican.
- There are more than 50 Protestant subtypes like Methodist, Reformed, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, Remonstrant, Plymouth, etc.
The most important diffrence is that they have diffrent doctrines, I would even go so far to say they do not worship the same God.

Roman Catholics are Christians. Protestants are also Christians. They both worship a triune God. The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. There are many lesser tenets of faith that the two differ on. I hope that answers your question

Martin Luther was a Roman Catholic Theologian, but he had some theological problems with the Roman Church: Indulgences, Mariology, Salvation by works et al. Luther tried to reform the RCC. They didn't change but wanted to silence and kill him. The people who protested against the Roman Church were called protestants from the word protest. Some of the more famous reformers who started some of the protestant churches are Martin Luther (Lutheran Church), John Calvin (Presbyterian), Ulrich Zwingli, John Wesley (Methodist). Today many christians who are NOT Roman Catholic are referred to as protestants. Sorry I can't get into more detail; check out my spelling and my facts and do not cite Wikipedia as a source. I think I gave you a good starting point. Again, Catholics are not protestants. Individuals who protested against the Catholic Church are often called protestants.

No, the Roman Catholics predated the Protestant movement by about 1000 years, so they couldn't be part of the Protestant movement. Also, there were many fundamental differences at the time of the start of the Protestant movement, such as the RC's selling Indulgences, which are certificates exempting your sinful behaviour from God's judgment and the discouraging of services and Bibles in ones native tongue in favor of Latin, which mostly been overturned today.

Catholics are Christians- they do no longer pray to Mary. Confession does no longer contain having a priest forgive your sins The purgatory element----IDK Bible--- if there are more suitable....why did others take some out. there's a hierarchy in maximum religions. Bribes so no longer make you pope Exorcism is an exceedingly severe element and could no longer be used willy nilly. Approval has to do more suitable with actual determining if the guy is possessed it type of feels you're generalizing. that is loopy to applaud someone who says they are going to kill their toddler in the experience that they modify into protestant. I have some doubts if that become an actually catholic information letter. Catholic communicate adversarial to protestants a lot below any incorrect way round. component of the reason will be vanity. yet I have under no circumstances been to at least one unmarried mass the position different religions were presented up and placed down i'm Catholic.....yet those are purely my reviews and under no circumstances any style of reputable comments. except for Mary and the Confession solutions.

Catholics are Christians and so are Protestants. However, there is a difference here. Protestants - real protestants, not the newer faith, Baptist, Mormon, Methodist, etc. But Puritan, Quaker, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and others - separated from the Catholic Church. The Lutherans when Martin Luther nailed his ninety-five thesis to the cathedral door and the others when King Henry VIII wanted a divorce from his first wife, but the church told him no. Roman Catholics would be Christian, but not Protestant.
