There are alot worse things to worry about besides morning sickness! I didn't puke once while I was pregnant so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Its absolutely a naturally common thing, something you cant control but DOESN'T last forever!it is different with every individual but there are things u can do to minimize the nausea (I found ginger buscuits or ginger beer a huge relief,or even better still, u could be one of the lucky ones that dont get morning sickness at all! Theres only one way to find out and that is fall pregnant and you will soon discover the joys of becoming a mother and having this little life inside your tummy that YOU CREATED!!!!
Just remember that its all FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN! I had morning sickness all day so it cant be that bad because i am now due for my 3rd child at any time!
No-one enjoys spewing at the best of times, atleast when ur pregnant you know its all worth it in the end, and ESPECIALLY when you see the final outcome of the little life that caused you all that heartburn, nausea and swollen feet, etc... lol
GO FOR IT, IT'S TOTALLY WORTH EVERY SECOND of the nine months put aside in your life!!!!!

nobody will be able to tell you what it will be like for you because everyone is different. Some woman get nauseous all the time all through the pregnancy, some dont get it at all. Some get it bad some not so bad... it so different everytime. It can even be different in the same person during different pregnancies.
In my case (I have one child) I didnt get sick at all. I felt a little funny after eating from week 8 to 11 but never really bad or threw up. It really is different for everyone.
So if you are sure you want a child them try not to worry about the pregnancy but just think of the good sides and the excitement. After all... no matter what it will be like.. it's only for a few month!
Good luck!

Firstly not everyone goes through morning sickness. Even every preganacy is different.
Yes it's an awful thing to go through but in the end you have this little miracle so it's all worth it.
You just need to make sure you always have something with you to eat when it happens, like a dry biscuit or dry toast.
Even if you get it may only last for first few months then go away. On the downside some women get it through their whole pregnancy but I have heard of very few cases.
So please don't let it put you off having kids as before you know it it will come and go so quickly.
All the best

Not everyone gets it, and for some it's worse then others, but here's how it was for me. Starting at 5 weeks I would get up evey morning, brush my teeth, dry heave 2 or 3 times. The scent of my husbands meals sometimes made me throw up, but I probably only did that 3 or 4 times. I would eat very small meals throughout the day. Actually they weren't meals, more like snacks, whatever I thought would stay down. I could pretty much eat only raisen bran and raisen toast. I never missed one day of work, but was nauseated pretty much all day. I tried the sea bands, ginger ale, soda crackers, teas, and nothing worked. At about 10 1/2 weeks I noticed that I wasn't as sick as normal and over the next 2 weeks it just started to go away. By 13 weeks it was all gone. I lost 7lbs the first trimester but gained it back quickly . It sucked really bad, but here I am thinking of trying for another baby in a few months. It's totally worth it at the end!

Morning sickness is different for everyone. You shouldn't let this scare you. Some people get it really bad, others don't. I am pregnant for my second time and I've only vomitted once (out of all pregnancies combined). But you can't predict what your personal outcome will be. But you have to make a choice. If you are afraid of vomitting, what about labor? Contractions? Pregnancy is scary, especially for first timers. But it is also the most beautiful part of your life you will ever expecience. So you have to make the choice if you are ready to deal with what comes with it. Good Luck! Britt A. RN

Every one is different. I myself did not have morning sickness with any of my children (3 + twins). I did have sleeping sickness though. I would sleep up to 10:00am, so I probably slept through morning sickness if I had any. How ever, I was never awakened with nausea or having to throw up. With my 3rd child, I had fainting spells. I will say though, I am one of the very few fortunate ones, not having nausea. It is more common to go through the nausea and throwing up for the first 8 weeks or so, then it passes. Hopefully you will be one of the few lucky ones as I was. If not, just remember it will soon pass.

I have a puke phobia too, so I understand your concern. The other commentors are right - not everyone gets it and those who do experience it differently.
I had it with both of my children but it was more like nausea and I would not puke.
I learned to keep saltine crackers at my bedside and in the morning BEFORE I even raised my head from bed, I would eat a few of them. This helped the severity of the nausea for me.
Most women who do get it do not experience it past the first trimester.

Well honey it sucks!! and it is not morning sickness it is usually all day sickness. You will be ok you might not get it and if you get it bad your doctor can give you something called Zofran it is a nausea pill that disolves in your mouth. I had severe sickness and lost 15 pounds and had to be in the hospital for i.v therepy to rehydrate myself. I doubt you will be like me, but you know what I can't wait to have another one because despite all the junk you go through and the labor!!! which is what you should be scared about it HURTS!!! but anyway I will go through it all again because the reward is sooo awesome!!!! good luck
