Ive had a few fords the first was a 1964 falcon with a mildly built 302 that's about the only one i actually enjoyed.. Ive had a couple of older F150's with the 300 6cyl in them which by the way is a decent motor until you have to replace the timing gears.Of course Ford has some decent muscle cars(pre 1971)like the Shelby GT, Cobra and the old Thunderbolt to name a few.But to be honest my true love is Mopar. I have a 70 Cuda with a 440 in it and a 1968 Charger R/T with a 440 also(wish it had a 426).Ford not bad but they will bury me with my Mopars i would live in a ditch before I'd sell any of them. And I'm sure you feel the same way about your fords.

The company is not much different than any other large corporation. So if you are asking specifically about the company, I can't say that I like one more than the other as far as the car companies go.

If you are asking about the product, I will say that I have owned a Ford vehicle ever since I started driving (a very long while ago). It is not because I am brand loyal or because I think the product is the best in all aspects.

Each time I have gotten a new vehicle, I will always look at the alternatives. I read the reviews of all the vehicles in the class I am looking at. Then I will even test drive vehicles that are well reviewed. I then price out the ones that appeal to me with the options that I want. It is at this stage that I generally end up with a Ford, because equipped as I want it - the Ford tends to be less expensive.

So, I have had a Ford of some kind or other for almost 30 years and have put over 900K miles on them with no major repairs or problems. I have been happy with them.

This past new vehicle purchase, Dodge came very close to winning me over. As a matter of fact, if the dealership had not wanted to try and squeeze too much profit out of me, I would have gone with the Dodge. However, the Ford dealership won my business and I am 100% happy with the purchase.

Then you'd probably hate my comments then as I work on them day in and day out....

Pretty much they are good cars (I own a f-150 and had a ranger for 190k miles... I also own a old Buick that I use for work commuting) on par with the stuff Gm is cranking out (and are actually trying to approach the Toyota level with cars like the 500 and fusion)...good cars and bad cars.. Ford is starting to tighten up on quality once again as some of the products have been railroaded to the public and people get to be the test guenia pigs (read 6.0l diesel fiasco)

As a company, they have made mistakes.. mistakes they actually taught the Japanese to avoid (as the Americans taught the Japanese about the car business after WWII, the Japanese just listened and perfected it)... If Ford was willing, a lot of the cars made for the down under (Australia and New Zealand markets) would make for killer cars in the US.. But the US half don't want help or something.

Ford is being run like most American businesses at this time... Some sloppiness, some hope.. and just enough to keep it's *** out of the fire .

Ford builds some quality vehicles. The Crown Vic, Merc Grand Marquis & Lincoln town car are the only Body On Frame vehicles Ford produces. Ford as a company could do better advertising with their products. They are letting the panther platform cars go by the wayside and more or less are marketing them as fleet cars. They are having major financial probs. They have layed off many and "bought out" many. If they advertised the car lines better and would come up with a little better styling, it could make a turn around. They are still strong with the trucks . Their biggest problem is not listening to the consumers. They are building some lame cars. HAVE HAD SEVERAL cars that were not a big hit. Plauged with problems. They also need to save money instead of wasting it. They have a 4.6 v-8 that is a 2v and one that is a 3v. Why build both engines when the 3v is better . They should put it into the panther platforms and save money on building only one engine. Bring back some old styling. The current line of cars contains so many rebadges it isn't funny. Let Mercury become its on design and make it more luxury. Redo the lincoln and make it ride better instead of using 20 yr old technology. Update everything. Quit putting Mercury badges on lame ford products. Bring back a new redesinged Marauder and make it affordable. Have another limited edition Maruader like the last ones. BUt this time make major upgrades to make them live up to the Marauder name. Instead of making vehicles and pricing them as high as they do lower the price so they are more affordable. Make less profit per unit but make larger profit selling more vehicle. Keep the Mustrang redesigns to follow a similar look as the did with the 05-07. Bring back more of the old style we loved. Other than these above mentioned problems ford is a good company. They can build a quality product. Their ad firm are idiots. But most of all they need to listen to the consumers. Their policy is they only take ideas from executives working for FoMoCo. They refuse to listen to any outside ideas. We are the buyers. We know what we want. Until they decide to listen and build the vehicles we want to buy they will continue with their downward spiral until they are swallowed up by another company.

Americian Cars built by Americians. Ford is part of Americian History. Henery Ford started Ford Motor Co...not by makeing the first car in America..but by makeing them on an assembly line. Prior to Ford only the rich had cars. Ford's idea put the averge working person into a car.His idea expanded to others mass produceing thier products. The Ford Motor co has given Americians and the world veh. to meet thier needs for close to a centrey. Are there better cars/trucks on the market then Fords today ? I would say yes. My wife has a Toyota and it's an excellent car. I have a Fous ZX3 and I find it meets my needs nicely and at a low cost to own and operate. I feel Ford does need to produce more veh that are hybrds and get higher MPG. This is my opinions on Fords futher. Thank you.

Yeah, I like the company. They have always treated me fairly, paid me well, and tried to give me a good place to work. Right now the company is going through some rough times, but they will pull through. I see the concern for safety and quality that Ford has. I know that they are trying to put out a good product as cheaply as they can. Some things that get lost with the Japanese autos, like Japan holding down the value of the yen, gave them a 10 billion profit just on the money exchange in 2005.
I'm retired now, I took the buyout. I have no complaints, and I enjoyed working there.

It depends on if your talking about an individual car lot or the corporation. I have heard that the Corp has some strange rules but other wise is great to work for. On dealerships that depends on where you live. If you are asking about buying or owning a ford product I say this, if you treat your vehicle good it will treat you good. I am a Chevy person however I have owned ford, Mazda, and Buick in the past and they have all been really good vehicles. I hope that some of what I said is some of what you are looking for :-]

Personally, I like a ford. I also own one and have had no problems out of it. I think it comes down to personal preference when dealing with auto's. They all have problems. Look at the Toyota, it has recalls and is supposed to be one of the best and safest vehicles on the market.
As far as the company, well, that could be another story. The closing of the Hapeville plant south of Atlanta, Ga. caused alot of hardships and problems for alot of surrounding areas. Not early enough warnings forced alot of people into financial struggles. I do know that major corporations such as the Ford Company has to downsize, but, I do feel they could have helped out their long term employees a bit more. I don't really have a good opinion of the company, but I do like the vehicles.

well I had a 1992 ford mustang, bought it with 40,000 miles on it, it lasted for 14 years, and finally died with 240,000 miles. Same engine, same tranny, with very little maintance. Not to mention I didnt keep up with it, it would get an oil change about once every 8,000 miles, and I drove it very hard.

So when it finally died I bought me a brand new 2006 mustang with all the money I saved from my last car lasting so long.

If you cant tell, I love the company. Although it is safe to say I have only driven two Ford cars in my life. Which are my 2 cars I have ever had. So maybe I dont have enough experiance to talk about the company as a whole.

I like Ford products and they are at a reasonable price. I had a Ford Mustang 1988 GT and a 1996 Explorer and loved them. As a company, on a corporate level rather than the cars....then the balance sheet is pretty ugly and comparable to GM. Lots of debt and high labor and retirement costs. So, I like the company as a consumer and not so much as a stock
