I am a Christian, and NOT racist at all! However I think that Christians latley are getting Persacuted more and more. I know that Jesus warned us of this, I am sure it will only get worse. But here is my Question. How in the World are Immagrants and people of other Religions are even able to Say that Prayers, and God, and Crosses and Statues Offend them...Yet America was Founded by Christians???!!!!! Why is America letting this happen???

Yes, Jesus warned us about this. And yes, it is only going to get worse.
Odd, that this country claims to be some 80% Christian, and we are just sitting still, letting this happen.
I don't know why...I suspect we Christians are just getting lazy. Where are the protesters that used to line the streets outside abortion clinics, for instance, just a few years ago? Where are the street preachers, and the Jesus Freaks with their flowers?
Meantime, while we sit watching our Totally Blasphemous Network, the ACLU is slowly but surely taking away our Christianity.
Don't be surprised if your grandchildren have to hide in a basement to pray!!

Moron.america Was NOT founded by christians..The Native americans that Christians STOLE FROM THEM were pagans and the first humans HERE in america, hence they 'founded' america I dont care HOW many history books say that the native americans were better after finding jesus,we dont know that..Christianity in my opinion has screwed up most races and religions.I belive everyone should be allowed their time of prayer in school or whatever you want to call it.Christians preach the 'love and faith of god' that god loves everyone equally yet the christian faith is perhaps the LEAST tolerant of other religions and beliefs.explain that.HEY wanna know a good idea?its in the movie DOGMA yeah thats right DOGMA....Serendiptiy the muse made an excellent point
"When are you people going to learn? It's not about right or wrong - it's a question of faith. It doesn't matter what you believe in - just that you believe." excuse me for bringing a stupid **** controversial movie into this but i think its an excellent point here ..Pffft!!!!

Oh, so many problems with this...

Nobody's prayer has any business in school -- at least not out loud or in a place where everyone is expected to listen. Do you not get that if YOUR prayer is allowed, then EVERYONE's prayer must be allowed? Every buddhist, muslim, mormon, wiccan, catholic, etc. must be able to have equal time? It's all or nothing -- you can't just allow yours and nobody else's.

Many of the founders of America were christians (not all), but in their wisdom they specifically insured that there would be no government endorsement of any religion. The founders re-asserted this several ways (the word "god" does not appear anywhere in the constitution, for one) -- and in the Treaty of Tripoli, signed in 1796 by George Washington and approved by Congress, it states, "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..." Go read it.

Finally, your own bible tells you to pray in secret, not out loud like the hypocrites do for show. Why do you want to go against your own bible and pray out loud in schools and other places? Say your prayers silenty, to yourself -- and you can do that anytime, anywhere, without bothering anyone or they bothering you.

Peace.

It's happening because you reap what you sow. First, for a land to be 'founded', it should be uninhabited. America was already inhabited by Native Americans, who before the so-called 'Christians' arrived, had a proud history and culture. The 'Christians' you refer to stole this land away from the original owners and then bullied them into servitude. This country was built on the backs of slaves because the 'Christians' who raped and pillaged this country were too lazy and unoriginal in thought to do it themselves. Second, which IMMIGRANTS are you referring to? Everybody in this country, save for the Natives who were forced onto reservations, is directly descended from IMMIGRANTS. The original southerners came from Britain. IMMIGRANTS come to this country because they may not have been able to practice their religion in their OWN country or they know they'll have better opportunities here. They don't come here to oppose Christian beliefs. The people who oppose prayer in school or the Ten Commandments on a courthouse wall or 'In GOD We Trust' on currency are all from the good old U.S. of A. and more than likely the many times removed descendant of IMMIGRANTS.

Oh for goodness sakes, America was NOT founded by Christians, America is NOT a Christian nation. Most of the founding fathers were actually against the religion of Christianity. Most of the were Deists.

Now, what I'd really like to know is if we all had prayer in schools (which is unconstitutional and I am against) would you Christians attack me for leading you all in a public prayer to The All-Father, Odin? Would you allow it? Somehow I think not. Face it, when you say you want prayers in school what you really mean is you want Christianity taught to children in school.

Prayers in school would be fine if they simply allowed a moment of silence for each to pray, meditate or take a break to "focus" of their own accord, rather than a prayer led by someone who may believe differently than the classroom.

"As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion, - as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen, - and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." (Treaty of Tripoli)

...most of the Founders were Deists and Unitarians who rejected doctrines like the Incarnation. Thomas Jefferson dismissed the Trinity as "incomprehensible jargon." He and other Founders made no mention of God in the Constitution, and took pains not to establish an official church on US soil. And yet, as various scholars have noted, disestablishment grew out of respect, not disdain, for religion, which, James Madison observed, "flourishes in greater purity without [rather] than with the aid of government."

If schools are preventing individuals from praying privately, that is stupid. Actually in the cases where its occured, I understand that it was taken to the supreme court and the religious person one.

The problem is when TEACHERS lead students in prayer. (It might be different if the school had various religious clubs that are 100% voluntary and a teacher happens to be the organizer of it.)

God aspects 24 hours an afternoon to honor his call, in case you're able to desire to do it for the time of school time, your no longer making plans your day very properly. Or is it greater approximately looking such as you honor his call

There is no reason to push your faith on everyone in a public school. And there is no reason for you to spend my tax money on it that way.

And if you really think the founding fathers were Christian you need to do a little reading. Start with Jefferson. He felt the need to rewrite the Bible because he liked the ethics, but thought the superstitions and miracles were over the top. Just Google Jefferson Bible. It is an interesting read.

Just addressing the prayer in schools part of your question, what prayers do you think children should pray in school? . . . Buddhist prayers? . . . . Jewish prayers? . . . . Moslem prayers? . . . Hindu prayers . . . Sikh prayers? . . . Protestant prayers? . . . Catholic prayers?

Prayerful Americans of all faiths should pray at home or in Church, or in religious schools of their faith.

And, as others have said, you need to read about the Founders of this nation. They had no intention that this be a Christian nation. Most of them were Deists.
