Oh Dear, I should have moved on. I really don't know what to say here. You do have a problem.
I admire you for being respectful and wanting to please your Father. Only you know how to talk with Dad and you don't want to destroy his trust in you by going behind his back. Maybe wait till you are 18 and Dad has no say.
You know honey, its hard being a parent. I am one of 5 grown married children and I did good but I wouldn't want to do it again, at this age especially.I also understand the feeling of being young and having a friend that you want to go out with and mixed is an issue. I can understand where Dad is coming from also.
One of my sons married a Latino and another married a Mexican,American born. Good Luck to you honey and you sound like such a sweet young lady that knows the qualities that Dad would like and you did find that.
WE SHOULD ALL BE COLOR BLIND ~~~God Bless You ~~

Just the fact that you say he's not a thug, tells me how you were raised. If you dad is that disrespectful, just tell the guy that you don't want to put him through that.:(
