Check your local ASPCA or Humane Society. They have lots of cats and kittens.

Winter is definitely not kitten season. A females cats estrus cycle increases as the daylight hours increases. That is why there are so many kittens born in the spring and early summer. If you must have a kitten, you should just be patient. You can always try and rescue one in a feline animal shelter. Or why not rescue an older cat and give it a 2nd chance at a good life? Kittens are only small and tiny for about 8 months. That's just a blip in your kitty's lifespan. I think if you go to a shelter and visit with all the cats there, there is going to be one special one that jumps into your arms or rolls over onto his back so you can rub his/her belly. That's the cat that will chose you! And you will never regret it!

Yes this is mating season. Generally starting Spring and running through summer come easter you will find less and less. A good idea is to check your trading post and local shops where people will put up signs. Just 4 weeks ago we picked up a new kitten from a house around the corner from us.. selling for $40 which beats $150 from a pet shop.

It is harder to find kittens during the winter months. Springtime is when most cats go into heat and have litters all spring and summer during the fall months it slows down My cat Gracie was born in Sept. My Cat Mia was born in March . Female cats will be going into heat soon.

Um... I think cats get busy during the cold winter months and have their kittens in the spring. So... wait a couple months and there should be some cats for sale.

My cat is currently not pregnant, so it isn't mating season. I know when it is because she tries so hard to get outside and all the alley cats sit at my front door. (She is the neighborhood hottie!) LOL :) I have to get my dog to chase them away! Anyway, you should go to your local animal shelter and adopt an unwanted kitten. They are so loveable and need homes! I know my county is overloaded with them right now!

If you are lokking for a kitten look in the newspaper ,there are always free kittens for adoption. If you get a cat please be sure to spay or nueture your cat. It is so sad to know that alot of cats will be killed because no one wants them.
