The theory that artificial sweeteners actually cause cancer is based on studies with laboratories animals-specifically mice. I don't think there is any REAL conclusive evidence that it causes cancer in human beings.

On the other hand, real sugar is known to make conditions like obesity and diabetes worse.

I think if you listen to every study out there you will end up concluding that just about everything causes cancer, even your drinking water. You can't be afraid of every food, drink and medication you use for fear of cancer otherwise you will ultimately die anyway of starvation and dehydration.

I would stick to the diet sodas and sprinkle my food with Splenda if I were you because it's the safer bet...

Sugar substitutes are unhealthy for you, whether their in a "diet " drink or no longer. If your going to drink a "diet" drink you can also as good drink the standard. It would not save you on calories although the can may say so. There are not any excellent sugar substitutes. Science may be developed however no longer that evolved. Additionally, limit the quantity of soda or energy drinks that you devour. Studies have shown that the carbonated water that the soda organizations use to the drink that fizz can be taking calcium from your bones. So the extra you drink the extra your harming your bones, in the end. It is one of the vital causes that you do not supply that a lot to a young little one. The same applies to an adult no matter what your age. Experiences have proven that now not simply sugar substitues can result in cancer and other wellbeing problems, but a number of different things. Individually, I handiest drink sodas and vigour drinks a pair times per week and not more than that.

Have note read any research indicating it as a carcinogeic.

Refined Sugar has a negative impact on the blood causing the release of large amounts of insulin.

artifical sugar does not have calories and by themselves there is no harm, but there has not been any research into the effects of eating a mix of artifical sugar subsitutes.
