I slice open the shells a bit with a cleaver or a pair of kitchen scissors. I bake them at 350 for ten minutes and eat them dipped in belted butter with a squirt of lemon.

Why not throw it in pasta, like a shrimp scampi except with the king crab legs instead. put butter and parmsea cheese on top of it. I bet it'll taste good! :)

What I do is, take a litte vinegar, a little water, place them in a micro safe bowl with lid, cover with old bay and steam in liquid until heated through. Then, I use the liquid as a dipping sauce. Scrumptious! You may also use beer as a stock, and liberal amount of Old Bay. Enjoy!

I grew up in Delaware and we ate crabs all of the time. I prefer them cold and straight out of the shell, but here are a few recipes for you to try.

Use 8-12 cooked King Crab legs

GARLIC BUTTER:
1 lb softened butter
3 Tbsp minced garlic
1/2 cup minced parsley
1 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire
1 Tbsp brandy
1 Tbsp white wine
1 tsp MSG

Carefully crack crab legs & remove meat whole; set aside. In bowl, whip butter for 1 min. Add garlic, parsley, Tabasco, Worcestershire, brandy, white wine & MSG. Beat at low speed for 30 secs or till well mixed. (Can be frozen). Melt garlic-butter mix. in large saucepan over med. heat. Cook crab in butter for 2-3 minutes or till thoroughly heated. Remove w/tongs & transfer to individual dishes. Pour sauce in pan over individual portions of crab.

Serve w/lemon wedge & garnish w/sprig of parsley.

You can steam them in a steamer, but my personal favorite is to place them in a roasting pan, add lots of buter, crushed garlic, and cut-up lemons cover with foil and bake on 350-400 degree oven just until heated through. Dont over-cook. enjoy

For fresh, boil them for about 15-20 minutes. For frozen, steam them for about 15 minutes. If they're too big, you can just boil them for the same amount of time.

We love our crab!
