My baby girl is quite a fast learner who can differentiate me from others at 2.5months,by 3-4mths she can imitate kissing sounds & when i ask her to show her daddy, she did then when i asked her to smile to me or others, she'll oblige & by close to 5mths she can imitate my slang "Ola Looi" & yesterday she shocked us when her daddy called her "Darling girl" & she replied within the next few seconds... "Darling girl" in the cutest way & giggles after that.
Both me & her dad stares at each other in blank asking is it her?
Yes! we're sure it's her as both of us were just infront of her but yesterday she was just 5mths 3weeks old... I was wondering if there's any way or educational materials to explore the full potiential of a coming 6 months baby... But i only knew that she luv music & luv to talk...very active baby.

Wow, a talking five-month-old? Very rare indeed.

I've never heard of any materials designed to explore the potential of infant - probably because infants in general hold unlimited potential. They will grow into products not only of the genetic capabilities they're born with, but of the environment in which they're raised and love and attention they're given. It's largely up to you.

Experts advise parents to not be hasty in sticking any label on their children - not even the label of 'gifted', as the child will eventually feel the pressure to live up to very high (and sometimes unreasonable) expectations. However, there is information about gifted children to be found in abundance with a simple Google search - here's one such article.

Best of luck to you.

Babies develop at different levels and sorry to say but this doesnt necessarily mean that she is a genius. My kids talked way before any children in their daycare 10 months old full sentences. Today they are average 10 year olds. Even the children that I know that were reading at 3 and 4 years old are average normal 10 year olds. Chances are she will be just an average child but if she is somehow gifted make sure that she is well rounded and happy. Good luck!

Keep engaging her and communicating with her. As a behavioral therapist, I think this seems very appropriate. Look at the link below if you want to make sure that she is at her developmental level. Also, maybe have her engage in play with other children, whether it be family or at a day care, etc. If she likes music and playing, maybe enroll her in a GYMBOREE http://www.gymboreeclasses.com/b2c/customer/home.jspclass where she can interact with others as well as the music and have fun!

i have a word of advice, something to think about in the future.

you have a smart kid by the sounds of things you should be proud and try to incorage her yes. but please dont go down the whole child genius route, alot of kids go down their and get too much too young and get hurt, badly.

let your kid have a normal, happy, healthy childhood.

much better to be happy then smart.
