Heck with -5, it will freeze in your regular freezer. I've never had a bottle bust but I have had cans pop open. If you open a frozen can or bottle, it will foam all over the place and then it tastes flat, yuck. If you catch it in time and let it sit on the counter for a while until it is thawed before you open it, then it's fine.

RE:
What happens if Beer freezes?
If you leave a bottle of beer outside at like -5 or lower, will it freeze and burst. If not, then will it taste good after?

It never stops amazing me how ignorant people can be.....ok the frozen beer in your freezer did indeed freeze solid and the alcohol too....alcahol alone will not freeze but because the alcohol is mixed with so much water and it froze so quickly the alcohol didnt have time to leave the solution the the diluted alcohol also froze. This is not a problem....just let them thaw and drink them....the percent doesnt increase unless while your slowly freezing beer you scoop out the ice crystals that form to increas alcohol content...that was not done so the beer will be the same. Its no problem.

Beer never tastes good after it freezes, it sort of separates... the alcohol content in it won't freeze and the rest of it will... and then when you thaw it it doesn't quite go back right.
And how do you leave a beer for that long without drinking it?!??!

Actually when beer freezes it usually burst into pieces so I don't think it will taste as good coming out of the bottle. I suggest don't do that, keep in the refrigertator in a bucket of ice cubes. chilled is better than frozen.

Beer is over 90% water. The water will freeze and burst the bottle or can. You will have a beersicle.

I left a beer keg outside once and I didn't think it was that cold outside and the thing froze and it split the damn keg open!!! No lie, blew it right open. I don't know if the bottle will explode or not but when the beer thaws out it may break down and get skunky.

If it's capped, there's a fairly decent chance it will freeze and burst. If it doesn't, then if it thaws, it may lose some quality, but it ought to be drinkable IF you don't uncap it until it is fully thawed.
